Boulder I.

So now I'm safely settled in Boulder - learning the campus layout, and the buses to get to and from anywhere, really. Simple enough, but still very different from Seattle. Like Beth said, Boulder's a small town with a lot of weird people - it sometimes does remind me of Seattle, the downtown area especially, but everything's very spread out and there's not a lot of people anywhere you turn.
Learning to get used to a new place is exciting enough - but then you know sooner or later that excitement level drops, and real life starts. You know it takes time, and everytime the going gets rough you remember your friends who've been living alone since they were 19, 20, and you ask yourself - how hard can it be, right?
School starts tmr, and actually I am quite excited to start learning again. Let's see how this goes.

PS reading back my entry I realised it sounds fucking boring - but that's seriously what I've been doing these past few days. Enjoying my basement suite (ahem!) and buying groceries and whatnot. I kinda like that.
